Most SaaS teams end up with four tools for one job. Appcues or Userpilot for tours. Beamer or Headway for the changelog. Canny for feedback. Zendesk Guide or Document360 for help docs. Four scripts in the app, four bills, and four places where the same customer shows up with no shared history.

A handful of products now cover all four. They got there from different starting points, and the starting point still decides what each one is good at.

Short answer: Featurebase is the cheapest way in if feedback and support matter more than onboarding. UserGuiding is the most complete onboarding-first option. Userorbit is the one to pick if you want all four surfaces plus a public roadmap connected to one customer record. Product Fruits covers tours, changelog, and docs but has no voting board or roadmap. Pendo covers most of it for enterprises, with a help center only through integrations.

Our bias: we make Userorbit. We've tried to make the comparison fair, and every competitor fact below comes from that vendor's own site or docs, checked on October 21, 2026. Where we couldn't confirm something, we say so.

Ticks don't tell you depth. A checkbox for "product tours" covers everything from a three-step tooltip sequence to branching flows with checklists, targeting, and analytics. The sections below are about depth.

What it costs to get all four

ToolFree planPlan that covers all four surfacesBilling basis
FeaturebaseYes, 1 seatFree and up; Growth is $29/seat/month billed annuallyPer seat. Tours and surveys share a monthly message quota
UserorbitNo, 14-day trialScale, $249/month billed annually ($293 monthly)Per MAU, 10,000 MAUs included, unlimited team members
UserGuidingNo, 14-day trialGrowth, from $499/monthPer MAU
Product FruitsNo, free trialNot available; no voting board or roadmap on any planPer MAU, Starter from $111/month billed annually
PendoYes, up to 500 MAUNot available as one plan; help center needs Zendesk or similarPer MAU, paid prices on request

Pricing models differ enough that the cheapest tool depends on your shape. Seat pricing favors small teams with many users. MAU pricing favors teams where support, product, and success all need access.

1. Featurebase: best for feedback and support first

Featurebase started as a feedback board, roadmap, and changelog. It has since moved toward customer support, with an inbox and an AI agent at the center of the product. Its homepage pitches support, feedback, and announcements in one tool.

What you get: feedback boards with voting, a public roadmap, a public changelog and in-app widget, a help center, a messenger widget, a support inbox, surveys, and product tours.

Where it falls short: onboarding is the newest and thinnest part. Tours and surveys share a free quota of 500 outbound messages a month. We didn't find checklists among its outbound message types. If onboarding is the main job, a dedicated onboarding tool goes much further.

Best for: early-stage teams who want a feedback board, changelog, and support inbox without paying per MAU.

2. Userorbit: best for one customer record across all four

Userorbit was built to cover the whole loop from first session to feature request to release announcement. Product tours, checklists, a changelog, feedback boards, a public roadmap, a knowledge base, surveys, and a support inbox all write to one customer profile. When someone votes on a request, you can see which tours they finished and which articles they read. When the feature ships, the changelog post reaches the people who asked for it.

What you get: product tours and checklists, announcements and changelog, feedback boards with voting, a public roadmap, a help center, in-app surveys, and a support inbox. Scale adds session replay, interactive demos, and adoption workflows.

Where it falls short: there's no free plan. Growth at $95/month annually covers tours, changelog, feedback, and roadmap, but the knowledge base and support inbox need Scale at $249/month annually. If you only need a voting board, Featurebase or Canny is cheaper.

Best for: B2B SaaS teams where product, support, and success share ownership of adoption and want one tool instead of four.

3. UserGuiding: best onboarding-first option

UserGuiding is a no-code onboarding tool that has added a changelog, feature requests with voting, a roadmap, and a knowledge base. It is the one vendor here that calls itself all-in-one product adoption software on its homepage.

What you get: guides and tooltips, checklists, a resource center, surveys, a product updates page, feature requests with voting, a roadmap, and a standalone knowledge base.

Where it falls short: price and caps. Starter is from $249/month with one checklist and one resource center. Feature requests and roadmap are confirmed on Growth, which is from $499/month.

Best for: teams where onboarding is the main job and the changelog, feedback, and docs are secondary.

4. Product Fruits: best for onboarding and docs without feedback

Product Fruits is an onboarding platform with tours, checklists, and hints. It has added a knowledge base, a newsfeed that can publish a public changelog, and an AI help widget called Elvin.

What you get: tours, checklists, hints, surveys, a newsfeed and changelog, a public or private knowledge base, and an in-app help widget.

Where it falls short: no feature voting and no public roadmap. Product Fruits' own blog suggests pairing it with a feedback tool like Featurebase or Canny for that. You're back to two tools.

Best for: teams that need onboarding, release notes, and docs, and already collect feedback somewhere else.

5. Pendo: best for enterprises already standardized on it

Pendo is product analytics plus in-app guides, built for larger companies. It added Pendo Listen for feedback with an ideas portal and voting, and a Resource Center with announcement and onboarding modules.

What you get: guides, analytics, NPS, a resource center, and an ideas portal with voting.

Where it falls short: no native help center, so docs live in Zendesk or similar. Several pieces, including Listen and the onboarding module, are upsells or tied to higher plans. Paid prices aren't published.

Best for: enterprises that already use Pendo for analytics and want to consolidate around it.

Tools that cover only part of the job

Userpilot is strong on onboarding flows and analytics, but it has no hosted changelog, no voting board, and no native help center. It starts at $299/month. Canny, Beamer, and Document360 are each excellent at one surface and don't try to cover the others. They're the right pick if you want best-in-class for one job and accept running four tools.

How to choose

Start from the surface you'll use most every week. If it's support and feedback, start with Featurebase. If it's onboarding, start with UserGuiding. If you want tours, feedback, roadmap, changelog, and docs tied to the same customer, start with Userorbit.

Then check the plan that covers everything, not the entry price. Three of these five gate at least one surface behind a higher tier, and that's where the real cost sits.

Methodology

We included tools that offer at least three of the four surfaces natively: product tours, a changelog, a feedback board with voting, and a hosted help center. Capabilities and prices come from each vendor's official homepage, pricing page, and documentation, checked on October 21, 2026. Where a vendor page didn't render or didn't state a limit clearly, we left the claim out. Recommendations are editorial judgments, not the result of running all five in the same production app.
