Tooltip
Use a tooltip when the instruction relates to a specific element on the page. Select the element, check its target rule and choose the available placement settings.
A tooltip can include a beacon. The beacon is configured on the tooltip; it is not a separate tour step type.
Modal or slideout
Use a modal or slideout when the message needs its own space rather than pointing to a single page element. Keep the message short and make the next action clear.
Media and buttons
Add supported media within a step instead of treating video as a separate step type. Review the button behavior: the button may advance, navigate or run a configured action.
Preview the result
Test the step on the actual application page. Check its target, placement, content and button action at desktop and narrow screen sizes.
Use only placement options shown in the current builder; do not assume an Auto position is available.
