Most demo issues come from stale captures, blocked extension access, missing captured pages, or hotspots that were recorded against a UI state that later.
Capture failures and misplaced hotspots usually come from extension permissions, stale product state, incomplete processing, or a target that changed after capture.
Capture checklist
- Start from the demo editor and use a normal HTTP(S) URL.
- Allow the extension to access and capture the target site.
- Record at least one and no more than 200 steps.
- Finish before the local draft expires after seven days.
Fix a hotspot
- Open the affected step.
- Reselect or manually adjust the hotspot target and position.
- Preview at the expected viewport size.
- Recapture only when the product state itself is wrong.
Troubleshooting
- If the screenshot permission fails, update Chrome permissions and restart capture.
- If the demo returns without steps, repeat capture and wait for processing to finish.
