Overview
This reference covers every configuration option available in the feedback module. Use it as a quick lookup when you need to adjust a specific setting. All settings are found under Settings → Feedback unless noted otherwise.
Form Fields
These settings control what users see when submitting feedback.
- Title — Always required. The primary identifier for a feedback item. Cannot be disabled.
- Description — Configurable as required or optional. Allows users to provide detailed context about their feedback.
- Email — Configurable as required, optional, or hidden. Controls whether submitters identify themselves.
- Board selector — Shown when you have multiple public boards. Can be hidden by setting a default board, which automatically assigns all submissions to that board.
- Custom fields — User-defined fields added via the Form settings. Supported types: Text, Textarea, Select, Multi-select. Each can be set as required or optional. Custom fields appear on the submission form and their values are visible on the feedback item detail view.
Board Settings
Each board has its own settings, accessible from the board view under Board Settings.
- Board name — The display name shown to users and your team.
- Board description — An optional description shown at the top of the board on the public portal.
- Visibility — Public (visible to everyone) or Private (visible to team members only).
- Default status — The status automatically assigned to new submissions on this board. Defaults to In Review.
Notification Settings
Control when and how notifications are sent.
- Status change notifications — When enabled, users who submitted or voted on a feedback item receive an email when its status changes. Enabled by default.
- New submission notifications — Notify team members when new feedback is submitted. Configure which team members receive these alerts.
- Vote notifications — Notify the assigned team member when a feedback item receives a new vote. Useful for tracking momentum on specific items.
Privacy Options
- Moderate submissions — When enabled, new submissions on public boards are held for review before becoming visible to other users. Disabled by default.
- Anonymous submissions — Controlled via the email field configuration. Set email to hidden to allow fully anonymous submissions.
- Voter visibility — Choose whether vote counts and voter identities are visible to other users on public boards.
- Status visibility — Select which statuses appear on the public portal. You can hide specific statuses (e.g., Closed) from public view while keeping them visible internally.
Widget Settings
Found under Settings → Widget.
- Embed code — The JavaScript snippet to add the widget to your site.
- Button color — The background color of the floating feedback button.
- Button position — Bottom-right or bottom-left.
- Button text — The label displayed on the button.
- Default board — The board pre-selected when the widget opens. If set, the board selector is hidden from the user.
- Theme — Light or dark mode for the widget UI.
Portal Settings
Found under Settings → Portal.
- Portal enabled — Toggle the public feedback portal on or off.
- Portal URL — The public URL where users can browse and submit feedback.
- Branding — Customize the portal with your logo and brand colors.
- Boards displayed — Only public boards appear on the portal. To exclude a board, set it to private.
Status Configuration
- Default statuses — In Review, Planned, In Progress, Completed, Closed. These are the built-in statuses available for all feedback items.
- Status colors — Each status has a color for visual identification in the dashboard and portal.
- Status order — The sequence in which statuses appear in dropdowns and on the portal board view.
Tag Management
- Create tags — Add new tags from the feedback item detail view or from Settings → Tags.
- Edit tags — Change tag names and colors from the settings page.
- Delete tags — Removing a tag removes it from all feedback items that had it applied. This action cannot be undone.
