Help center articles in Userorbit go through a lifecycle from draft to published to archived. This guide covers each stage and how to move articles between them.

Creating an article

  1. Go to Help Center in the left sidebar.

  2. Click New Article.

  3. Enter a title and write your content using the rich text editor. Use headings (H2, H3), lists, code blocks, images, and links to structure your article.

  4. Assign the article to one or more collections (categories) so users can find it in the help center.

  5. Click Save Draft. The article is saved but not visible to users.

Publishing an article

  1. Open the draft article.

  2. Review the content, check formatting, and preview how it will look in the public help center.

  3. Click Publish. The article is now live and visible to anyone with access to your help center.

You can publish immediately or schedule the article to go live at a future date and time.

Editing a published article

When you edit a published article, Userorbit creates a draft revision. The currently published version stays live. Your changes are not visible to users until you click Publish again. This lets you make updates without interrupting the live help center.

Unpublishing an article

To temporarily remove an article from the public help center, open it and click Unpublish. The article becomes a draft and is no longer accessible to users. You can re-publish it later.

Archiving an article

When an article is no longer relevant — for example, documentation for a deprecated feature — archive it:

  1. Open the article.

  2. Click the more options menu (three dots) and select Archive.

Archived articles are hidden from the public help center and from the main article list. They remain accessible in the Archived filter view for reference.

Restoring an archived article

If you need an archived article again, go to the article list, select the Archived filter, find the article, and click Restore. The article returns to draft status — you will need to review and publish it again.

Deleting an article

Deleting an article permanently removes it and its revision history. This action cannot be undone. Only delete articles that contain no useful information and will never be needed again.
