This guide shows you how to configure the Userorbit widget to best suit your application's needs.

Before You Begin

  • Ensure you have administrative access to the Userorbit Admin Panel.
  • Have a clear understanding of which modules (Announcements, Help Center, Feedback) you wish to enable or disable.

Steps

  1. Access Widget Settings — Navigate to the Userorbit Admin Panel and locate the "Widget" or "Settings" section where widget configurations are managed.
  2. Enable or Disable Specific Modules — Within the widget settings, find the section for modules. Toggle on or off the "Announcements," "Help Center," and "Feedback" modules as required for your user experience.
  3. Set the Default Module — Choose which module appears first when a user opens the widget. Look for a dropdown or selection option labeled "Default Module" and select your preferred starting view.
  4. Order Modules — Reorder the enabled modules to present them in a logical flow for your users. This is typically done by dragging and dropping modules or using up/down arrows.
  5. Configure the Widget Trigger — Decide how your users will open the widget.
    • Floating Button: Select this option for a persistent button on your application's interface.
    • Custom Trigger Element: If using a custom element, provide the necessary CSS selector or JavaScript function that will activate the widget when interacted with.
  6. Define Page Appearance Rules — Specify on which pages your widget should appear.
    • All Pages: Display the widget across your entire application.
    • Specific Pages: Enter URL paths or patterns where the widget should be visible.
    • Exclude Pages: List URL paths or patterns where the widget should *not* appear.

Verify It Worked

After saving your changes, navigate to your application where the Userorbit widget is integrated. Refresh the page and confirm the widget appears as configured, the default module opens correctly, and enabled modules are accessible. Test the trigger mechanism (floating button or custom element) to ensure it functions as expected.
